Adventure Animal Farm

Come and meet more than 450 animals, which are all tame and love to be petted and hand-fed. Ideal for a family or school outing: all the animals are gentle with children. Children are allowed to have close contact with the animals, under parent/teacher supervision.

This home for domestic animals features the following attractions for the public:

Please note: booking is essential for school tours, birthday parties, clubs and Sunday schools.

The farm provides homes for ponies, donkeys, cows, goats, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, geese, turkeys, peacocks, chickens, bantams, pigeons, ostriches and tortoises.

How to get there

From Cape Town

1. Take the road to the airport (N2).
2. The last left turn left before the airport.
3. Turn-off is signposted "M10 Heideveld/Guguletu".
4. Travel in the Heideveld direction towards Philippi in a straight line for about 4km.
5. You are then crossing Lansdowne road.
6. Continue for a few hundred metres until the road forks.
7. Branch right into Weltevreden road and drive under the bridge to the traffic lights.
8. Carry on in a straight line for another 3.5km. Adventure Farm is on the right.

From Somerset West/Strand

1. The next turn-off after the airport is sign-posted "M10 Heideveld/Guguletu".
2. Proceed from point 4 above.

From Wynberg

1. At Maynard's Mall, turn down into Wetton road.
2. Cross Rosmead Avenue and drive through Wetton.
3. From Wetton circle, carry on straight along Lansdowne road and cross 4 sets of traffic lights.
4. At the 5th set of traffic lights, turn right.
